Bill Gates FATHER wants to RAISE BILL’S Taxes

Something interesting is happening up in Washington State.  The FATHER of the richest man in America, Bill Gates Sr., is trying to raise his son’s taxes.

Washington State has NO income tax.  All funding is based on sales taxes and the rate is now close to 10% on everything that is purchased except food.  The other sources of taxes are real estate taxes.

Sales taxes hurt the poorest Americans because it takes a larger part of their total earnings.  This tax system benefits the rich at the expense of the poor.

Bill’s father, also rich, wants the richest to pay a modest income tax and lower real estate taxes.

The tax would be on individuals making over $200,000 and couples making over $400,000 = 5%.

Individuals who make over $500,000 or couples making over $1,000,000 would pay 9%.

What do you think?  Is it fair to tax people making this much money?

Many of the rich don’t like this idea and have given thousands to defeat this.

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, says NO and gave $100,000 to defeat the bill.

Jeff Bezos, President of Amazon, says HELL NO and gave $100,000 to defeat the initiative.

Many others who are both billionaires like the two above and multi-millionaires are against the initiative.

The RICHEST man in America is silent of his father’s quest to tax the rich.

I guess many people think if a VP at Microsoft making $500,000 per year has to pay a 5% tax then Microsoft will not hire people.  Non-sense!  The personal income taxes these rich uncaring bastards pay has nothing to do with employment.

The company pays the individual and that individual owns that money, not the company.  Just because an individual making a $500,000 per year has to pay personal income tax doesn’t mean people will not be hired.

AP reported:

“Advocates say I-1098 would raise about $1 billion per year for education and health programs. Washington is one of seven states without a personal income tax.

Supporters of the measure have raised more than $3.6 million, including $500,000 from the elder Gates.

Labor groups are the driving force behind the campaign, with $1.2 million from the Service Employees International Union, and $100,000 each from the Washington Education Association and the Washington Federation of State Employees.”

This is a part of the on-going class war that the RICH are waging on America.  Warren Buffett bragged about this war and proclaimed the RICH are winning.

Remember that 75% of the RICH got their wealth the old fashioned way - they inherited it!

Many of the rich especially those at companies like Microsoft and Amazon are rich because they were LUCKY.  Yes they just happened to be at the right company at the right time.

We can’t do what Jesus Christ demands unless we tax the rich.  There is no way America can implement the commandments without these taxes.
