Do TAXES Kill JOBS?

Do TAXES Kill JOBS?

One of the things Republicans and Tea Party members always say is that taxes KILL jobs.

Is that true?

Well I decided to take a look at the actual budgets for the federal, state, country and city governments around the USA.

The figures tell a different story.

In fact over 17% of all Americans with a job, who pay taxes and spend their money in the society buying goods and services are – government workers.

Wow!  That is a big number and these people are all PAID for out of taxes.

So do taxes kill JOBS?

Maybe if you tell a LIE long enough a lot of people will start to believe it?

I looked at budgets for the states and cities around the USA.  Guess what the single largest expenditure is - JOBS.  In fact over 80% of all tax dollars spent by cities and counties and state government are for JOBS.

So do taxes kill jobs?

If we look at the average city budget it includes policemen, firemen, public works, parks department, traffic safety, planning department, water department, Mayor and city council.

What of these can we eliminate?  Seems to me we need these people, but Republicans and Tea Baggers HATE government workers. Sp they all must go.

Oh yes and then we have the public schools, k through 12, we are FORCED by evil government to pay for these too.

At the state level I saw state police, prisons, traffic, road and streets, parks, and a few more that seem to be in all state governments I looked at.

Without evil TAXES we don’t have any of these services.

Taxes create millions of jobs for hard working honest Americans doing things that benefit us all.

So do taxes KILL JOBS?

As for the federal government, the biggest single expense is WAR.  Military spending is one-half of all personal incomes spent.  We could cut spending from our personal income taxes by half if we eliminated the military.

If we taxed Caroline Kennedy (net worth $400 million) would that kill jobs?  If we taxed the 4 Sam Walton children, all billionaires, would that kill jobs?

Remember this is “personal income tax”, taxes on rich people who don’t create any jobs.

Most of the rich use their personal fortunes to buy stocks and invest in hedge funds and this creates no jobs.  In fact many hedge funds buy up American companies and move the US jobs to China, increasing the profits to the rich and reducing middle-class JOBS.

There is this myth that when a rich guy buys stock from another rich guy using an on-line broker on the NYSE, this creates jobs.  That is TOTAL non-sense.

As far as I can see taxes actually create millions of jobs for people who provide valuable services and these people then pay taxes and help the economy by spending their salaries on good and services.

Am I right?  If so why do the conservatives say taxes KILL jobs?

Finally, corporate taxes do take money from companies that could be used to create jobs.  But corporations pay very little in taxes and in fact many pay no corporate income taxes.

We have so many tax loop holes for corporations that they now have un-Godly profits.  The oil companies get tax breaks for exploration and for depletion and their profits are at all time highs.

Low taxes do not create jobs.  We know that taxes create jobs.  This is because our taxes go to hire people, good Americans, just like you and me.

What do you think?  Do taxes KILL jobs?  Tell me how they do this.

If we cut taxes and fire policemen, Oakland did this, fired 70 police officers, does that create jobs?  What it did was make all those living in Oakland less safe and reduced the money the police officers could spend helping the economy.

In fact all large cities are firing employees because their taxes are down.  Is that a good thing for America?

Should Christians be against taxes?  Why?

Matthew 22:39-40

39"The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'

40" On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Matthew 7:12 GOLDEN RULE -

12 “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

Matthew 25:44-46

44"Then they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?'

45 "Then He will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

46"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

John 14:15 “If ye love me keep my commandments.”
