GITMO proof of torture, incompetence and malice
Thank God for the release of the documents that prove the USA is guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The American people were lied to and so was the world. Anyone who defends the actions at GITMO by the US has no moral code and supports the worst criminal acts known of man; the torture, death (36 suicides) and imprisonment of innocent human beings.
The newly released papers from WikiLeaks once again show how badly the USA acted after 911.
We kidnapped a journalist from Al Jazeera and held him for years to find out how his organization operated. His organization is a NEWS organization. We knew he wasn’t a terrorist and he represented no threat to the US. That is a criminal act.
We tortured people we knew had nothing to do with terrorist groups and we currently have 100 people at GITMO that represent no threat to the USA and have committed no crimes, but we won’t let them go.
If your son was looked up at GITMO you would be screaming bloody murder, but no outrage from the right-wing nut-job Republicans and the Tea Party. The democrats are just as bad. Obama continues the Bush crimes by not shutting down this criminal operation and releasing those who are not guilty of any crime.
Where are the Christians and where are their voices? None can be heard and they too are guilty by their silence.
There are no national security issues holding up the release of the innocent men being held at GITMO. We have already acknowledged they are not a threat and innocent of any crimes.
Obama and those Republicans who now yell foul because their crimes are exposed should be ashamed and so should every honest and moral American.
The Americans who committed these crimes at GITMO and those who ordered the crimes, the Bush gang, should be put on trial for war crimes and subject to the law.
Obama is commander in chief and could order that black hole in US history closed, if he wanted it closed. He could tell the generals to find money in their $1 trillion budget to close it and move the prisoners, mostly innocent people to civilized jails where they can prove they are innocent and be released. He should also apologize to the world for our criminal behavior and ask them to forgive us our trespasses.
But don’t hold your breath. America continues to deny these acts even as the proof piles up. These acts and our support for them makes us a criminal nation. Our hypocrisy has made our request for proper treatment of prisoners by others hollow words.
The terrible thing here is that all these Americans who ordered and committed these crimes claim they are CHRISTIANS.
Why hasn’t the Christian community asked Bush, Chaney, Obama and the others to repent? Torturing people is a sin, locking up innocent people is a sin.
America demands Iran, Syria, Libya and others treat people humanly and yet we hide our own crimes. We support the dictators in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The world sees our crimes and so does God. Where are the voices of the Christian Churches, they are silent.
JC demands we REBUKE sinners. But these Christian hypocrites tell JC to go to Hell with their silence.
Jesus tells us to “Rebuke” Sinners
( rebuke - defined in Merriam-Webster’s on-line dictionary
1 a : to criticize sharply : REPRIMAND b : to serve as a rebuke to
Luke 17:3-4
3"Be on your guard! If your brother (BUSH, CHANEY, OBAMA) sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
4"And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him."

Good work in pointing out the stupidity, immorality and hypocrisy of using torture and denying due process. The belief in a deity watching from a distance however reduces the infinite to a man-made image.

Guantanomo is a P.O.W. camp, not a nursery school. Furthermore, the conditions there are far better than they are in many state prison facilities in the U.S.
Also, so what if torture was used in the facility. I say extract needed information and intelligence from the captives, no matter what measures have to be taken to get it out of them.
Furhermore, if it were not for the "inhumane treatment" of prisoners that has been taking place at "GITMO" and other detention facilities around the world, the U.S. would be going up in smoke. "9-11" type attacks would be running nearly as often as commuter trains.
