MEDICARE: Important Up-Date

If you are currently on Medicare you NEED to know this.  Your current Medicare Plan ends in ten years.  The US House of Representatives voted to END government Medicare in 10 years. 

The Bill ending Medicare was approved by a huge majority in the House of Representatives 235 to 193.  The bill also gives huge tax breaks to Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and the other richest Americans.

All Republicans in the House voted to eliminate government Medicare and the government GUARANTEE older people will have healthcare.  No more guarantee.

The Republican Plan will continue to tax workers for Medicare. But the new plan will give some of this tax money to the top 1% in tax breaks in order to reduce their taxes from 36% to 25%.  If there is any Medicare tax money remaining it will be given to private insurance companies.  The current Medicare members can then get a voucher worth 40% to 60% of the current cost of medical care and buy insurance from the private companies.  NO INSURANCE companies will be REQUIRED to sell policies to sick Medicare patients. 

All current coverage will end and the insurance companies will decide what level of coverage they will provide. 

Independent estimates are that many procedures and medical treatments now covered will not be covered under the private plans.

Currently Medicare has just a 3% administration cost and no PROFIT.  This means that 97% of all Medicare taxes go to medical care. 

Under the new private plans the for profit companies are currently running on average a 30% administration and profit margin, leaving just 70% of each dollar collected in premium for care.

This alone will reduce care. 

If you are under 55 years old there will be NO guaranteed government MEDICARE for you.

MILLIONS of current Medicare members living in Medicare supported Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Group Homes will need to find other places to live.  The reason is the new payment schedule in the Republican Bill will reduce the amount paid to these homes by 40%.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, along with the Koch brothers saluted the new much fairer tax system that gives them huge tax breaks, while reducing the wasteful spending on the old, sick and suffering.

Paul Ryan read aloud the following to justify his cuts for the rich and to wasteful Medicare programs for the old.
