Republicans take a MORAL stand against helping the POOR
The Republicans have taken a MORAL stand against extension of unemployment benefits. They favor more tax cuts for those who are really suffering the rich.
This group of MORALLY superior Republicans voted to give Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and 400 America billionaires tens of billions in tax cuts, but now have taken a stand. No help for those suffering unemployment due to the Wall Street fraud. Wow! You have to salute these brave Republicans for fighting against evil government hand outs to those undeserving lazy workers and their children.
Of course they all voted to give the Wall Street crooks over $700 billion in taxpayer money, but not for the $54 billion to help the poor.
The brave heroes in the Tea Party are celebrating the fact millions of children will be added to the over 19 million America children living in poverty to protect Bill Gates low income tax rates.
In fact Warren Buffett bragged about paying just a 17% income rate while many who work for him paid twice that rate. Sara Palin is for even more tax cuts for Warren and Bill. Her Jesus has told her to be against any government help for the poor. Only help the rich and the corporations especially oil companies if possible.
McConnell, McCain, Graham, DeMint and all the Republicans added $3 trillion to the federal budget in tax cuts for the rich and corporations, but they can’t bring themselves to vote for another $54 billion, not for the undeserving workers who lost their jobs in this rescission.
In fact this group of morally superior Republicans under Bush added more to the national debit than any other administration in the history of America. They now hold the record.
Many had to remind us that the rich too are suffering. In fact the rumor is that Bill Gates in now only worth about $50 billion and has had to cut back. Many Republicans are worried because the four Buffett children, who inherited tens of billions may not be doing as well as they should.
McCain, a multi-millionaire (net worth $100 million) by marriage demands poor child eat less and like it. He is not going to pay one more dime in taxes to help the 19 million children living in poverty because it is their own fault they decided to be born poor. “You can’t argue with that logic now can you”, said Rush Limbaugh and that was echoed by FOX News.
“If that four year old is hungry they should get off their lazy butt and go to work”, said Senator DeMint to applause from the Republicans in the Senate. “We have to take a stand against government handouts,” echoed Senator Graham.
“If we just lower the taxes on the top 1% the benefits will trickle down to the black children and they will get jobs as shoe shine boys”, said Senator Sessions.
The Republican Christians prayed together to Jesus Christ to help defeat this evil bill giving away taxes to help the poor. The prayer was lead by Senator Kyle and it went as follows: “Dear Heavenly Father help us keep the tax benefits for the rich and large corporations and defeat any attempts by the evil Democrat socialists to help the poor, children and honest hard working Americans without jobs. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.”
And so it was God’s will the vote failed with the Republicans being out voted 57 to 41. Yes all the evil Democrats, a majority voted to help the poor, but the GOOD CHRISTIANs won with just 41 votes. It was truly a miracle from God.

I get it. You simply don’t care if people without jobs through no fault of their own go hungry in the richest country in the world. You can use any argument you like the bottom line is no help for millions, including innocent children.
The gang you support got us into this mess. Republicans were in power for 911, two illegal wars, they allowed the crooks to steal hundreds of billions, gave hundreds of billions in tax cuts to the rich and refuse to follow the instructions of JC.
None of what you wrote changes the above.

Please try to understand that government is not the solution but the fault of the problems.The people need jobs and the government is not helping the private sector in producing jobs.The government has spent billions to help the public sector jobs and has increased the size of government.People that are not working cannot support the government spending.
President Obama is willing to put some 65,000 workers and businesses out of business by attempting to reinstate the moratorium.Open your eyes and speak out,the Obama administration and the Democrat congress are incompetent and irresponsible for the last 19 months.

Government jobs are a GOOD thing. These workers pay taxes, buy goods and services and support the economy just like private employees. The one big difference is they earn enough to help drive the economy buy spending money.
Most of the private sector jobs being created are at the mall and Wal-Mart for slave wages and provide no disposable income, no healthcare and little benefit to America.
The private sector has already moved most middle class jobs to China and India and will never bring them back. They are sending the new middle class jobs they create to the same places.
You are living in a fantasy world if you think otherwise.

Your reply had nothing to do with why Republicans continue to refuse to help workers who can’t get a job. Republicans vote only to help the rich and big corporations.
You are against extension of unemployment benefits for over 2 million honest, hard working Americans who can’t get work. Shame on you and the right-wing nut-jobs who want to punish the innocent for the financial disaster they caused.
I agree with this article. However, Warren Buffet is on the side of the poor and middle classes. He publicly stated that there is something very wrong with a system where he pays a lower percentage of his income in taxes than his secretary. So please don't demonize those who agree with you.

I read the article again and good old Warren NEVER said please raise taxes on the RICH. He is not for the poor and middle class.
The rich today all claim to be for helping the poor and never say raise my taxes. They all have PR advisors and have become great BS artists. The day Warren, Bill and Steve call a press conference and demand taxes on the rich be raised I will agree with you. Don’t hold your breath, it will not happen.
By the way 24 hedge fund managers made over $1 billion in income each and paid 15% tax, lower rate than a fireman married to a nurse.

CHASTIZING the rich and the Republicans for the events of the last 4 years or so just exposes your inability to recognize who and what are the problems the country faces today.
Hedge fund managers, Wall street, Goldman Saks and George Soros friends of Barak Obama. those rich people contributed millions to the Obama campaign and he has paid them back big time.
AFL-CIO union friends of Obama have been paid back big time with millions of the stimulus money and bail outs of the big guys.
The stimulus bill ( $787billion is now $850 billion) was to change the economy around with shovel ready jobs and to keep unemployment not to go over 8%.Today, some 19 months later there are 14 million workers out of work after Obama and the super majority Democrat controlled Congress passed the (Conyers, the bill was to complicated to read before making my vote )the stimulus bill. Only 43% of the bill has been spent mostly to save jobs in the public sector, states entitlement programs ( the poor and children programs )and to increase the size of government.
Well it looks like all the private sector is getting is more taxation on the small businesses that hire the majority of those workers out of work. Instead of the government helping small business they are creating more obstacles for them to hire. The poor people don’t have jobs, our government would rather borrow more money rather than have the people go to work.
The Republicans have offered plans to help the job market, Obama and the Democrats rather prefer to ignore the minority party and the Pay-Go laws.
The SEC was exposed by a Republican Senator that in the past 5years the SEC spent $100million for recreation and parties. President Obama announced that the SEC is exempt to complying to a freedom of information request. That’s the transparency he promised if elected. REALLY ! The poor children were forgotten again. The government took over the private sector Student Loan program on 3/23/10 ( buried in the Healthcare bill ) Barak Obama signed the Healthcare bill. Remember that’s the bill that majority leader Pelosi said ‘’ we need to pass the bill so we can find out was in it ‘’. Recently it was reported that the government paid off the student loans of staff congressional members at a tune of $ 12 million.
Case closed, the Obama administration and Congress are corrupt, arrogant and a threat to our freedoms.
The government controls 60% of the economy, the economy in their hands has not rebounded as yet.

It is a myth to say the rich WORKED for what they have. 75% of the richest people in the USA got their money through inheritance. Warren Buffett has 4 kids all billionaires and they didn’t work a day to become rich.
Four of the top 10 richest Americans are Sam Walton kids, each worth over $19 billion and they didn’t work one day to be rich. Even good old Bill Gates has two billionaire kids and wife and they didn’t work one hour to be billionaires.
The rich pay the lowest tax rates in my lifetime and Buffett brags he paid just 17% tax rates while many of his employees that make far less pay twice that much.
It isn’t about charity – it is about fairness. If you are for helping the rich get richer and against the poor you are not a Christian.

Ran up the federal debt by $3 trillion – most of any president in history

Started an ILLEGAL war in Iraq based on LIES – NO WMD and they knew this
Passed with the Republicans (McConnell, McCain, etc) support the $700 billion bale out of the Wall Street CROOKS – Paulson Bush’s SOT bailed out his crooked buddies and himself with my kids money
Left the country destroyed and in ruins for Obama and he is trying to fix 6 years of corruption and outright fraud
